Prestashop white label module

As I discussed in the Prestashop module advertising in back office post, I didn’t want the newish module advertisements being displayed. So I made a module.

Its on GitHub: https://github.com/franksmule/prestashop-whitelabel – Or straight to downloads

What it does

Removes premium/priced modules from Back office module list
list-of-modules

Removes tips and featured modules from the back office dashboard
dashboard

Simply download the release and upload the zip and install as you would any module.

I’m thinking about other features, such as removing the dashboard footer links. Comment any other suggestions you’d like to see.

    Nice work Ollie.

I’m re-building a PrestaShop store for the first time in a while and all of these bits in the admin rubbed me the wrong way. They overcomplicate things and could confuse clients. It also feels like it cheapens everything.

I did a quick search to see if anyone had tackled this and found your module. I’ll probably extend it to remove other little bits like the footer as you suggest. Maybe replace some of the logos etc.

    Thanks!

It does need some updates, it seems every version some more advertising has snuck in! If you make any changes send in a PR be much appreciated.

    Hello Ollie,
Thanks for the good work and for sharing. Though i have not yet downloaded it. But its a very nice module i have personally been looking to get for some time now. However, like one said already that prestashop keeps on changing the advertising techniques, can you kindly always update your module based on the prestashop current version. Evening selling it AT US$5 per upgrade will not be a problem to those in need of it.

For example, i am developing a multistore site and would wish to make my store owners to access the backend but do not want them to know that my website is developed with prestashop. Kindly help to upgrade it

    Thank you
    Ronnie
